The innovation has been endorsed by Rehabilitation Research Center of The University of Medical Sciences and also holds patent number 65026. Children who are able to hold their body and keep their knees staight--stand beside a wall--can benefit from gate plates.
Here are some advantages of gait plates:
They are easy and fast to wear and light weight. Children wearing them have no difficulty moving their knees, however their ankles are controlled. They are cheap comparing to braces, look simple and do not hurt children's feet.
